Cruises on Lake Saimaa
Savonlinna and its surrounding waterways are a paradise for boaters, offering stunning scenery and high-quality guest harbours. It is possible to travel to Savonlinna by boat all the way from the Gulf of Finland. If you are not arriving by boat, you can still enjoy the lakes by chartering a boat or hopping aboard a cruise at the passenger harbour in the centre of town.
You can even stay overnight
There are plenty of cruises to choose from, including short scenic cruises, longer scheduled services and charter cruises that allow you to pick the duration and itinerary. Many of the vessels offer restaurant services, and some even have cabins where you can stay overnight.
